Who is the Central Counterparty?

It is an infrastructure organization of the financial market, which assumes the risk of failure to fulfill the obligation of the financial market participant to supply money or a financial asset by becoming the only counterparty for all transactions with market participants.

Where do the securities dividends come?

Dividends are credited to the client's brokerage account, from where they can be transferred to a personal bank account.

Why do I need a brokerage account to trade?

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, only members of the exchange of the relevant categories have the right to participate in trading conducted by the exchange, including at the expense and in the interests of third parties - their clients. Individuals can only participate in trading through brokerage organizations that are members of the exchange. Accordingly, without a brokerage account there is no access to trading in the organized market. 

What is a repo?

It is a transaction for the sale of securities, involving a repurchase at a pre-agreed price.

What is the ticker and ISIN?

Ticker is the short name for a security on the stock exchange. As a rule, ticker is a combination of several Latin characters.

ISIN - International Securities Identification Code, a 12-digit alphanumeric code that uniquely identifies a security.

The function of the market maker is to form supply and demand through direct participation in the auction. In this way, it creates a vibrant market, encouraging investors and traders to trade the asset.
