Bonds of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Last week, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan placed three bond issues for a total of KZT73.3bn (KZT27.8bn in the previous week). As before, the government securities with the shortest maturity period was in the greatest demand. The yield on 2-year bonds was 9.68% per annum, and on 13-year bonds - 10.65% per annum.
Notes of the National Bank. Last week, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan held two auctions for the placement of notes. On June 7, an auction was held on notes with a maturity period of 28 days for a total amount of KZT304bn with a yield of 8.998%. On June 9, the NBK placed notes with a maturity of 91 days in the amount of 531.4 billion with a yield of 9.149%.
As of the beginning of June, non-residents' ownership of NBK notes amounted to 16.54%, having increased from 14.58% as of the beginning of the last month. In total, non-residents' ownership of Kazakhstan's domestic public debt at the beginning of June returned to the results of the beginning of April, having increased from T702 billion to T801 billion.
The specialized trades scheduled for June 11 on the placement of 2-year bonds of Kazakhstan Stability Fund JSC in the volume of KZT10 bn were declared failed due to the unsatisfactory price of the submitted bids. The active orders amounted to KZT19.9bn, the yield on submitted orders was at the level of 9.98% - 10.2% per annum. However, despite the presence of bids for the purchase of significant volumes, the issuer did not place those bonds.
On June 11, Bank RBK JSC placed bonds with a maturity of 9.5 years for a total of KZT25bn with a weighted average yield of 10.85% per annum.
