Macroeconomist - Strategist (Global Macro Strategist) (Chief Analyst)

Halyk Finance announces a vacancy for the position of Senior/Lead Analyst of the Corporate Finance Department.

Requirements

1. Higher education (Finance/International Finance/Economics)
2. Experience in investment banking or corporate finance or Big4 (Valuation, Financial Advisory and M&A Transaction Services) or corporate finance for at least 2 (two) years.
3. Knowledge of the main provisions of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to the activities of issuing and placing securities.
4. Knowledge and skills in using existing financial models for asset valuation.
5. Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
6. Understanding of financial value theory and valuation, methodology, and applications.
7. Proficiency in English not lower than Upper-Intermediate
8. Good presentation skills.
9. Ability to work in a team with employees of different levels.
10. Ability to clearly and competently express ideas orally and in writing, in English and Russian.
11. Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
12. Experience using Bloomberg

Responsibilities

• Preparation of presentation materials (pitch-books), investment memorandums, reports on the attractiveness of the business of existing clients, business plans, and other documents required in the framework of providing consulting services of the division (M&A, private equity, restructuring, financial consulting, and underwriting, etc.)
• Development of financial models for analyzing the results of activities and the value of analyzed companies
• Preparation of documents and procedures necessary for the registration of issues, listing, and placement of the client's securities, other documents required in the framework of the division's functions
• Operational interaction with legal (tax) consultants, auditors, investment banks, regulatory authorities, judicial instances, professional participants of the securities market, and other organizations within the framework of ongoing projects.
• Organization and conduct of marketing meetings and presentations for potential investors, participation in negotiations with investors
• Preparation of recommendations to the client regarding the indicative value of the analyzed projects or assets of the client
• Provision of services to the client as a representative of bondholders, including the preparation of reports of the representative of bondholders, timely provision of reporting and other information
• Consulting clients on the listing of securities on domestic and foreign stock markets
