Farhad Okhonov is a finance professional and investment banker with many years of experience in Kazakhstan’s capital markets. His areas of specialization include capital raising and financing structuring, transaction execution and the development of investment banking businesses. Deep expertise in corporate finance, combined with a strong understanding of clients’ strategic priorities, allows him to pair financial discipline with a practical approach to long-term business development.
Farhad Okhonov has been with Halyk Finance since 2010. Over the years, he has progressed from heading the financial advisory and underwriting function and overseeing this business line as a member of the Management Board to his current role as Chairman of the Management Board. In different periods, he has been involved in the execution of significant financing projects across domestic and international capital markets, advised corporate clients on transactions and contributed to the development of the Company’s core investment banking capabilities.
Prior to joining Halyk Finance, Farhad Okhonov worked at Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan and Tsesnabank, where he built a strong foundation in banking and corporate finance. This experience became the basis for his subsequent specialization in capital markets, financial advisory and underwriting.
Farhad Okhonov graduated from the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a degree in Public and Municipal Administration and later continued his studies in the United States, earning a Master of Science in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at George Washington University. His international academic background and hands-on experience with market instruments have shaped a broad professional perspective on financing, investment banking and investor engagement.
Today, Farhad Okhonov provides overall leadership across Halyk Finance’s key business lines and directly oversees the Company’s macroeconomic forecasting division. His qualifications are also underscored by the ICMA Primary Market Certificate awarded by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).

Roman Assilbekov, CFA is a finance professional with many years of experience across capital markets, investment banking, trading and asset management. Over the course of his career in the financial sector, he has developed strong expertise in market instruments, capital market transactions and investment solutions, combining a deep understanding of market dynamics with hands-on experience in transaction execution and corporate client advisory.
Roman Assilbekov’s professional path at Halyk Finance began in 2008. Since then, he has worked across the Company’s research, investment and treasury functions, steadily expanding his responsibilities from areas related to fixed income instruments and asset management to leadership of key market-facing and commercial functions. Today, as a member of the Management Board and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, he oversees financial advisory and underwriting, as well as trading.
A significant part of his experience is tied to the equity capital market and the execution of large placement transactions. Under Roman Assilbekov’s leadership, Halyk Finance has organized IPO and SPO transactions with a total volume exceeding USD 30 billion. His experience in placements, trading operations and investment products has shaped him as an executive with a deep understanding of market logic, investor behaviour and issuer priorities.
Before joining Halyk Finance, Roman Assilbekov worked at Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, Bank CenterCredit and TEXAKABANK. This stage of his career provided a strong professional foundation in banking and paved the way for his subsequent specialization in capital markets, investment analysis and financial instruments.
Roman Assilbekov graduated from Taraz State University with a degree in Marketing and Commerce and later continued his studies in the United States, earning a Master of Business Administration from North Dakota State University. His qualifications are also supported by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which he has held since 2010.
Today, Roman Assilbekov contributes to the development of Halyk Finance’s key businesses at the intersection of investment banking, capital markets and trading, drawing on extensive market experience, a deep understanding of investment instruments and a strong focus on creating long-term value for clients and the business.

Natalya Dzhamysheva is an executive with many years of experience in Kazakhstan’s financial sector, with expertise concentrated in financial management, accounting, operational processes and organizational development. Her long-standing career in the banking system has given her a deep understanding of the internal financial infrastructure and processes that underpin the stability, transparency and efficiency of a financial institution.
Natalya Dzhamysheva joined Halyk Finance in 2022 as a member of the Management Board and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. At the Company, she oversees the finance and HR functions, covering areas related to the financial function, internal processes and organizational support for the business. In this role, her experience is particularly valuable where strong systems, precision and resilient internal management frameworks are essential.
Before joining Halyk Finance, Natalya Dzhamysheva spent more than 20 years at Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, where she built an extensive career across the finance and accounting functions. Her last position was Deputy Chief Accountant and Director of the Banking Operations Accounting Department. This period shaped her as an executive with a deep understanding of banking operations, financial control and the internal processes of a large financial institution.
A notable part of her experience was her involvement in the integration of Kazkommertsbank and Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, one of the largest banking sector mergers in the country. As part of this process, Natalya Dzhamysheva was responsible for the integration of the banking information systems of the two leading financial institutions, a task that required a high degree of precision, coordination and a deep understanding of the operational and technological architecture of the banking business.
Natalya Dzhamysheva graduated from Kokshetau University with a degree in Finance. Her many years in the banking sector, participation in large-scale transformation processes and practical understanding of the internal mechanics of a financial institution have shaped her as an executive focused on process reliability, management quality and the long-term sustainability of the business. Today, at Halyk Finance, she is responsible for functions that directly support the Company’s financial resilience, internal efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

Bauyrzhan Tulepov is a finance and investment professional with expertise in macroeconomics, capital markets, investment analysis and strategic advisory. His experience spans the assessment of investment opportunities, risk analysis, business strategy development, and the structuring of solutions in asset management and financial advisory. Combining a strong analytical background with practical experience working with businesses, he develops solutions at the intersection of market expertise and clients’ strategic priorities.
Bauyrzhan Tulepov joined Halyk Finance in September 2025 as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. At the Company, he oversees the asset management and trading analytics division, with responsibility for investment expertise, analytical support and the development of client solutions in the capital markets.
A substantial part of his experience is linked to macroeconomic and investment analysis, the development of sell-side and buy-side research, advisory on the structure and optimization of securities portfolios, and support for clients on debt and equity financing matters. His focus includes market analysis, the assessment of issuers and financial instruments, and the formulation of investment and strategic decisions taking into account macroeconomic, sector-specific and geopolitical factors.
In addition to his work in capital markets and investment analytics, Bauyrzhan Tulepov has advisory experience in business strategy and operational efficiency. His work has included business process optimization, reduction of operational risks, sales efficiency improvement, cost analysis, as well as support for business acquisition and disposal transactions.
His professional profile also includes teaching and expert analytical work. Bauyrzhan Tulepov is a lecturer at AlmaU and contributes to analytical materials on macroeconomics, equity and fixed income markets, and fundamental business valuation, while also engaging with clients and professional audiences through consultations, analytical reviews and expert commentary.
