JSC «Halyk Finance» — a leading investment bank in Kazakhstan and a recognized leader in asset management and brokerage services — is inviting applications for the position of Director of the Asset Management Department.

We are looking for an experienced manager to oversee the development of the trust management business, manage investment portfolios, and implement the company’s investment strategy.

Your key responsibilities:

Organizing and managing the activities of the Asset Management Department, including areas related to investment funds and institutional clients.
Managing the Company’s investment portfolios, pension assets, mutual funds, as well as portfolios of institutional and private clients.
Developing, approving, and implementing investment strategies in line with clients’ risk profiles.
Preparing investment initiatives and presenting them to the Investment Committee, as well as monitoring the execution of approved decisions.
Developing investment products and participating in the automation of trading, analytical, and accounting processes.
Interacting with regulators, stock exchanges, the Central Depository, custodians, and other financial market participants.
Leading the department team: recruiting, developing, motivating employees, and improving business process efficiency.

We are looking for:

A higher education degree in finance, economics, or technical sciences.
At least 5 years of experience in the investment sector, asset management company, investment bank, or bank treasury, including at least 3 years in the securities market.
Experience in team management and process optimization.
In-depth knowledge of investment portfolio management, financial analysis, and evaluation of investment instruments.
Experience working with financial information systems such as Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv, as well as proficiency in MS Office.
Strong knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of the securities market and regulatory requirements.
Fluent English (Advanced).

It will be an advantage:

An MBA degree.
International professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM, or an active process of obtaining them.
Practical experience working in local asset management companies or international investment organizations.
Experience managing equity, bond, and alternative investment portfolios.
Experience working with institutional investors, HNWI clients, and corporate clients.
