Halyk Finance announces a vacancy for the position of Senior Analyst in the Department of Trading Ideas.

The main activity of the Department of Trading Ideas (DTI) is the preparation and publication of analytical materials for the Company's clients on brokerage services (sell-side investment research), including investment strategy, regional and country reviews, sectoral and industry reviews, trading ideas (short-term) on stocks and ETFs, investment ideas on stocks, bonds and ETFs, full coverage of Kazakhstani issuers (blue chips). In addition, DTI is involved in internal investment processes (buy-side).

The stock market analyst monitors trends in the stock market, including the monetary policy of the world's central banks, the macroeconomic situation, as well as changes at the industry level and in the context of companies. Selects and analyzes financial instruments for the purpose of preparing investment recommendations. The main task of the stock market analyst is the preparation and publication of investment ideas for equity financial instruments - stocks, GDRs and ETFs.

In the course of his work, the stock market analyst interacts with DTI analysts, and together with them participates in the preparation of investment strategies, regional and country reviews, sectoral and industry reviews, and other analytical materials, as well as participates in the presentation of analysis results for the general public and for the internal audience - sales and marketing unit, asset management department, Investment Committee, Company management. Stock market analysts work in a team led by the chief stock market analyst and report directly to the department director.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of macro indicators affecting the equity financial instruments market;
• Analysis and identification of trends in the stock market;
• Fundamental analysis of companies;
• Building financial models of companies;
• Preparation of investment ideas and recommendations for equity financial instruments;
• Participation in the preparation of investment strategies, regional and country reviews, sectoral and industry reviews, and other analytical materials;
• Public presentation and presentation of analytical reports and reviews (webinars for clients, comments in the media, interviews, reports and speeches).

Requirements

• Education: higher education in the field of finance, economics or mathematics. A master's degree will be an advantage.
• Work experience: at least 2 years in the financial sector. Experience as an investment analyst will be an advantage.
• Professional certificates: progress in obtaining the CFA charter. Possession of the CFA charter will be an advantage.
• Skills and abilities: deep understanding of the functioning of the stock market, fundamental analysis, public speaking skills, competent written and oral speech, English language not lower than B2 level
• Personal qualities: purposefulness, self-discipline, focus on results (as opposed to a process approach), teamwork skills, critical thinking.
